What Counterpoint does:
Control Four VCOs
Four independent 1V/Oct channels give you 8-octaves of CV allowing you to control four oscillators at once. Each channel provides pitch, gate, slew, and optional pitch-bend or portamento control.
Capture Ideas as You Play
Record your interactions directly from the touch pads and turn them into looping sequences. Each channel can have its own sequence, meter, and length, with live overdubbing, quantization, and sequence manipulation.
Built-in Arpeggiator
Dedicated touch pads turn any channel into a performative arpeggiator. Play the currently touched scale degrees in real time, or lock-in notes to allow playback hands free. Choose from multiple rhythmic rates and direction modes, each with CV control.
Keep Your VCOs in Tune
Built-in VCO calibration measures the response of each oscillator across 10 octaves and calculates its 1V/Oct response automatically. Keep four independent voices tracking together without manually calibrating each oscillator.
Performative VCO Controller
48 custom manufactured brass capacitive touch pads let you easily adjust the harmony, change octaves, and create sequences of all 4 channels with a single hand.
Build Your Own Scales
Eight three-position switches define the relationships between eight scale degrees shared across all four channels. Build familiar major and minor scales, explore unusual intervals, or create something entirely your own.
